George Fullard: Living in a Sculpture: Graves Gallery, Sheffield
14th January - 1st July 2023
Gallery Pangolin after many years of working closely with George Fullard’s widow Irena were honoured to be asked to represent his Estate. As a result we have curated several exhibitions and commissioned catalogues and a monograph on Fullard and continue to promote his legacy.
We are delighted to be working together with Sheffield Museums on this latest survey of his sculpture and works on paper.
'George fullard: Living in a Sculpture' marks 100 years since Fullard’s birth and brings together a wide range of the artist’s drawings, plaster casts and sculpture. Drawings from his student days at the Sheffield College of Arts and Crafts demonstrate his enduring concern with capturing the beauty and absurdity of everyday life. While later sculptural works reveal his fascination with childhood games and war.

Unsentimental Beauty: Almuth Tebbenhoff
25th March - 8th July 2023
This will be Almuth Tebbenhoff's first solo exhibtion at Gallery Pangolin. We are excited to be displaying a wide selection of her unique works alongside several bronze and silver pieces cast at Pangolin Editions.
An illustrated catalogue will accompany the exhibition with photography by Steve Russell Studios and text by Sue Hubbard, a freelance art critic and award winning poet and novelist.
“Almuth Tebbenhoff’s work is undeniably beautiful but it is the qualified, mediated unsentimental beauty – one that incorporates the poignancy of human imperfection – suggested by Keats’ famous words ‘beauty is truth, truth beauty.’ ”
