Marino Marini: A Sculptor's Prints
19th March - 18th May 2018
Our annual exhibition of sculptors’ prints is this year dedicated to sculptor Marino Marini (1901 – 1980) for whom graphic work was a vital component of his artistic output.
The exhibition includes lithographs and etchings executed between 1952 and 1978, a period of great innovation for Marini, particularly in his growing use of colour to create drama and suspense.
To accompany this impressive group of prints, we are also showing sculptures directly inspired by Marini or relating to his major themes, by Anthony Abrahams, Ralph Brown, Jon Buck, Reg Butler, Lynn Chadwick, Terence Coventry, John Hoskin and Bernard Meadows.
