George Fullard
Sculpture and Survival
7th November - 16th December 2016
Although publicly and critically acclaimed during the golden age of Post-War British sculpture in the late 1950's and '60's, following his early death in 1973 George Fullard's work slipped into relative obscurity. The recent surge in interest in this period has seen a growing regard for his work and our exhibition is a timely opportunity to re-assess and acknowledge this intriguing and underrated artist. The show includes many previously unseen works and brings together bronzes, assemblages and drawings from all periods of Fullard's oeuvre.
The exhibition is accompanied by a fully-illustrated catalogue as well as a specially-commissioned monograph on Fullard by author and art historian Michael Bird.
Gallery Pangolin is proud to represent the George Fullard Estate.
